Sky Ridge Roller Coaster
It has been quite an emotional roller coaster this weekend. I am sad to say we are still at the hospital. Brent is fighting an infection. Until they get it under control he can't start the trial. The good news is he can start as soon as this is under control. That can still happen by tomorrow, but for now we wait. He is still vomiting and not able to eat or drink much.
Saturday night one of the drugs he was given knocked him out hard core. It scared the daylights out of me to see him drugged up yesterday. To top it all off my poor Nicolas was so emotional this morning. All I could say was 'I know buddy, this sucks!' Not the most eloquent words nor one of my finer moments. However, in that moment, those words felt so true. I just like to think these are reminders for me to breathe. I don't have to figure everything out today. All I can do is be an advocate for my husband and our kids.
We have so many angels looking out for us. This weekend I was reminded how much good there is in this world. I just need to focus on that! One of our neighbors dedicated her team CrossFit competition to Brent and got second! Without hesitation, later that day she and her husband brought over dinner. A high school friend that I've kept up with on social media offered to have dinners delivered to us. The principal from the boys school called today and offered help for transportation or anything else we may need. Others have offered to take our kids out for a few hours or overnight. I literally could go on and on. I am humbled by all of you. It's not much, but all I can say is thank you. All of you keep me going, so I tell you again, thank you.
We still treasure those prayers. However, for those of you asking how you can provide additional assistance below is a link to our Go Fund Me page. Thanks to Sarah Goldsmith for setting it up!
